Manual Extract: Load Sense Relief Valve Pressure Verification
Position the machine on firm, level ground. Place the backhoe in the transport position and lower the loader bucket fully to the ground.
Shut down the engine. Turn the ignition key and pilot control switch to the ON position, then operate the pilot and loader control levers to discharge any residual hydraulic pressure.
Install a pressure gauge rated for a minimum of 345 bar (5,000 psi) at the “M” test port on the backhoe control valve, using adapter 101792A1 (refer to page 16).
Ensure the hydraulic oil is at normal operating temperature. To warm the system, perform the following:
With the engine running at maximum throttle, hold the loader control lever in the ROLLBACK position for 15 seconds.
Return the control lever to NEUTRAL for 15 seconds.
Repeat this cycle until the oil temperature reaches approximately 125°F (51°C) or the hydraulic reservoir feels noticeably warm.
Start the engine and run it at high idle. Hold a stabilizer function in relief and record the pressure reading displayed on the gauge.
Compare the measured value with the specified pressure listed on page 3 of the manual.
If the measured pressure does not meet specification, adjust the load sense relief valve accordingly.
